This class addresses common intellectual property issues for entrepreneurs, startups, and growing businesses.  Dimitri Dovas will speak about the applicability of different types of intellectual property protection, patent and trademark searches, and employee and contractor agreements.  Mr. Dovas will provide practical examples to help attendees spot intellectual property issues in their ventures.

Dimitri Dovas founded Dovas Law in 2006 as a Professional Corporation with a focus on intellectual property matters. Dovas Law, P.C. works to meet the needs of domestic and foreign clients, including corporations, law firms and individuals, who seek to protect ideas and innovation in varying fields and technologies.

Prior to entering the field of law, Mr. Dovas was employed in the transportation and defense consulting industries with responsibilities including engineering analysis, product design, and project management. Mr. Dovas holds degrees from Rutgers School of Engineering (BS) and Rutgers School of Law(JD).
