ABOUT ABOUT

Join us every month to discuss books that tackle issues shaping our jobs and the economy.

This month we will be talking about Slouching Towards Bethlehem, by Joan Didion.  The "dazzling" and essential portrayal of 1960s America from the author of South and West and The Year of Magical Thinking (The New York Times). Capturing the tumultuous landscape of the United States, and in particular California, during a pivotal era of social change, the first work of nonfiction from one of American literature's most distinctive prose stylists is a modern classic.

You can check out an ebook copy of this title with your library card, through Hoopla here.  If you do not already have a free account with Hoopla, you will need to set one up to get started.   There is no wait time with Hoopla, so titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later.
